La-La Land

This is my first ever silk-screened work of art. It was created in 2003 in Minneapolis right before I moved to LA. I named this piece “La-La Land” even before I decided to head West. It was the centerpiece to my first solo show at Robyne Robinson’s Flatland Gallery. I still say it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. The story on how it got its name would bring a tear to your eyes.

It just so happened that I was digging through my flat file cabinets last week at La-La Land Gallery and I found a stack of test prints that look amazing. Each one is a bit different… which I dig. Different because I had never attempted a screened print before.
